Overview | copper naphthenate (cur), also known as Copper naphthate, copper Petroleum, molecular formula (C10H19COO)2Cu, is a complex of Alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether, soluble in any hardness of water, acid and alkali resistance, with emulsification, levelling, wetting and diffusion and other excellent properties, can be mixed with various types of surfactants and dye resin shrinkage. Copper naphthenate is prepared by co-dissolving copper oxide or copper carbonate with naphthenic acid or by metathesis reaction with soluble copper salt and sodium naphthenate. Commercial copper naphthenate content of 6% ~ 8%, dark green viscous material, insoluble in water, soluble in petroleum solvents, with a special mildew odor, very low toxicity to humans and animals, chemical properties are relatively stable, is a kind of high efficiency, low toxicity, environmental protection wood preservative. In recent years, special attention has been paid to it, which is mainly used for the anti-corrosion of woodworking, horticulture and shipbuilding materials. It has a strong ability to prevent the invasion of marine drilling animals, it can toughen the paint film and increase the leakage rate of the antifouling agent. To achieve the purpose of regulation and control of antifouling agent exudation. Recommended dosage: 0.05-0.2% (Metal to resin solids). It can also be used as anti-corrosion and anti-mildew agents for cables, fabrics and leather. Recently, water-loaded copper naphthenate has been developed, using organic amine as solvent, which creates conditions for the popularization and application of copper naphthenate. |
